ASHIYAN MEDICAL COLLEGE
A beautifully arranged modern campus with well-equipped academic and hospital buildings is the beauty of the area. It is situated in Ashiyan Shikka Nagor, Barua, Khilkhet, Dhaka-1229, Bangladesh. It is only about 10 minutes drive from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka. It is also nearby to Khilkhet Lake City Concord, Pink City, Swadesh Property. The College and Hospital is housed in a 4 storied building on its own land. The construction of building is now complete. It has got wide areas of open space in side of the building for car parking and other utility purpose. The various departments and wards have been set up and organized in a planned way to serve the need of a modern medical college & hospital.
At present 3 lecture halls with multimedia presentation facilities, administrative block, a modern library with 4000 recent medical text books on different disciplines and internet facilities are available for students as well as academic staff of the college. Ashiyan Medical College & Hospital building a fully air conditioned, modern, well decorated and equipped College & Hospital accommodates cabins, general wards, consultant chambers, Operation Theater, ICU, dialysis unit, reception, modern diagnostic lab and hospital office.
Preclinical departments have been organized in a befitting manner. The basic departments of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and Community Medicine. All departments are well furnished, adequately and suitably equipped for the class rooms, tutorials, dissection hall, laboratories and museums.
The departments required in the second phase, such as Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Community Medicine and Forensic Medicine.
The clinical departments such as Medicine, Surgery, Gynae & Obs, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Cardiology, Oncology, Orthopedic Surgery, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Anesthesia etc are there in the hospital building.
